This is the Modern World

This is the Modern World

We had the honour of restoring several different types of aged and incredibly fragile tapes for the archive of The Jam and The Style Council. The collection included 7" reel to reel recordings of early studio sessions, Philips N1500 (heralded as the rarest type of tape in existence), and U-matic tapes. All of which needed to be baked and delicately cleaned & restored before they were digitised.
We produced a catalogue of digitised material to be used at the 'This is The Modern World Exhibition' and for on-screen story telling of the early days of the Jam and Style Council.
The tapes were the last remaining recordings of that era, showcasing previously unseen footage of the band's early years.
